In 2006 - his first year at National Championship level in the TKM series; Ed achieved a fantastic 12th place and 2007 Ed stayed in JNR TKM and finished a fantastic 2nd place and was selected to race for the England team in the Nations Cup.

In 2008 Ed moved into the highly competitive JNR Rotax class and proved he was a main competitor for the title by winning the first two rounds of the British Championships. After a disappointing two middle rounds Ed found himself in 7th position but ended the season in better form to finish 2nd overall in the British championship.

2009 saw Ed racing in the Junior Rotax class for the second season, he started the season by winning the Winter Cup in Spain and then claimed the British Championship, won the 'O' Plate and then finished a very creditable second overall in the European Championships after a clean sweep of wins at Salbris in France in the final round. To round off another highly successful season Ed finished 3rd in the World Finals in Sharm El Sheik.

In 2010 Ed started the season with Andy Cox Racing (ACR) on a Birel chassis but changed to Strawberry Racing on a Tonykart in October. Finishing 5th in the British Championship and 2nd in the Euromax Championship. 2010 was Ed's debut season in the senior category and has far exceeded his expectations of top 10 finishes in both championships and again qualified for the World Finals.

In 2011 the British Championship went really well winning every 2nd final he contested and not finishing off the podium at any race was unbeliveable, "I couldnt have asked anymore from Strawberry Racing becoming the first person to win the Junior and Senior Super 1 titles, the European Championship had its ups and downs the weather affected some of the rounds meaning we werent experienced as others but was still one of the fastest on track but being hit off at decisive times meant that the championship was out of reach but to still finish top 3 was a good result and in 2012 with more experience now I hope to claim the title."
